FTP (File Transfer Protocol)

FTP steht für "File Transfer Protocol", was soviel bedeutet wie "Dateiübertragungsprotokoll". Es handelt sich also um ein sogenanntes Protokoll, genauer gesagt um ein Kommunikationsprotokoll vom Server zum Client sowie Client zum Server.
